This one’s special.

Matthew sent me Momentum months and months ago – which in it’s original form was a dubby, stripped back Mark E-esque burner. I loved it; pestered MK to let me release it – but at the time he wasnt happy with it and the idea just kind of faded out. Never left my iPod though. Then months later it reappered – sounding very different.

Matthew had enlisted Berlin based Wunderkid Cuetec to add his dusty, jazzy, soulful, abstract-organic vibe to the track – and jesus – this is a match made in heaven.

Matt’s a good friend and occassional collegue of APR – he’s done A&R work for the label in the past (Lee Webster and The Legendary 1979 Orchestra releases were MK’s handiwork) so I asked him if he’d like to build the release himself. He agreed, and what you have before you is completely Matt’s creation. He went out and drafted remixers, sorted artwork, found time to pen the Ambient Mix and even finalised the play order. No wonder In The Woods is doing so well…

As Matthew Kyle is behind the controls on this release, slow and sexy is the order of the day. With a stellar cast on remix duties, two of the most exciting names in music penning the original tracks and an instrumental thrown in for good measure – who could want for more?
