We at APR totally get that.

JP (Jon Paul Hill, from Newcastle in the North East of England – now living in Kentucky) doesn’t do things by the book. Take ‘Roswell That Ends Well’ as an example – massively quirky, utterly bonkers, slightly eerie – but still packing enough punch to get heads nodding. The title track ‘La Ment’e’ is a slab of chunky spaced out off kilter disco, and both versions on ‘On The Reed Again’ scream NYC – choose your own era, memory, sidewalk… ‘The Colour Why’ with it’s rather inspired use of Spanish guitar is one for the beach or indeed the barrio, and The Legendary1979 Orchestra rounds things off with his his very tasty, classic deep house version of ‘On The Reed Again’.

A huge package that really does explore every boundary of Jon’s self proclaimed ‘Broad Musical Palate’.
